The scene opens to the Fair Catch set, complete with two recliners. The DWF logo is in the background along the back wall. Bob Fairchild, in a DWF polo shirt and khakis, sits in one recliner just in front of the logo, leaving the other recliner empty at this time.
HELLO everybody and welcome again to the Fair Catch set. I'm Bob Fairchild and we're just 2 days away from Shamrock Showdown. This will be Part One of a Two Part Fair Catch as we managed to get a hold of a few of our competitors for a quick three question interview. We'll have Part Two tomorrow, but without further ado, Let's go to the tapes.
Bob spins the recliner around as the DWF Logo slides to the side, revealing a screen. On the screen are Skype Video Windows, showing the faces of Heidi Thompson, Aidan Carlisle, James Edwards, Patrick Carson, Alice Quinn, Coral Rose, Nora Harris, Trixie, and Summer.
First, I'd like to thank you for taking a few minutes to talk with me here today. I'll have the same 2 questions for each of you and a 3rd question for the ones going for the Defiant Title, and a different one for the ones looking to Main Event TNT- The Show in Pensacola on the 29th.
A few of the faces nod in agreement as Fairchild continues to look towards the screen as he asks the first question.
Question One, Why did you sign up to be a member of the DWF?
Mainly because they wanted me. I mean I’m still a teenage and I have zero experience but DWF was willing to take a risk on me when a lot of other places would of passed. I don’t know if they say something in me or if they just will take anyone honestly. The other appealing thing is that DWF is new and fresh, just like me. The world will get to know me as it gets to know DWF. That is pretty neat to think about. I can grow as the company grows instead of jumping into a tank full of sharks like most companies that have been around forever and hope you can swim. - HEIDI THOMPSON
When I saw Defiant Wrestling, I saw an opportunity. I saw a place that had the potential to be something really special if it was given the chance. Not only do fans and investors have to be willing to take a risk on a small promotion that is just starting out, but so does the talent. - AIDAN CARLISLE
I like a challenge. - JAMES EDWARDS
DWF is a land of opportunity. When I took on this challenge, training to become a wrestler, I knew I needed to find somewhere that would offer opportunity, somewhere that wouldn't judge me because of who I am, or what I do. That's what DWF provides. Somewhere for me to be judged on my current and future actions, not my words or my past. - PATRICK CARSON
I signed with DWF because I am defiant. I don't follow any rules, I follow the beat of my own little orchestra and it's fantastic. I very much wish to play and why shouldn't it be a new company that I can mold around me? - ALICE QUINN
I signed up because was wanting another place to wrestle at, it just seemed like the best fit. - CORAL ROSE
As one of the members of the Harris Family, I'm not a stranger to certain things. I know my martial arts, I know my wrestling, and I know how the wrestling business works. Someone like me? I don't want to ride on the wake created by my more famous cousins, I want to drive the boat, and the best way to do something like that is to come somewhere like this. I know that I can bring something exciting to the DWF, and I know that not only can my career really bloom here, I can help the DWF grow and bring in fans even as a relatively unknown. I am the tiny with the heiny after all! - NORA HARRIS
I joined Defiant to do something that has always alluded me. I want to kick off Defiant as their champion. I'm joining Defiant to keep the Trixie brand nationwide and the Prime Girl available to their territory once a fortnight. - TRIXIE
I signed up because in 2015, right before I got injured, FFW was just introducing a new Ultraviolent division. I'd just taken part in this Queen of the Deathmatch tournament and I did pretty good, really found my groove there. MY plans to jump into that kinda got stalled out by my injury but I still want to explore the less technical aspects of the business. -SUMMER
Bob nods as Summer finishes her statement.
Thank you for that insight. It's a priviledge to be a part of this process and bringing the DWF fans to you and bringing you to the DWF fans. Question Two, What makes you Defiant?
What doesn’t make me Defiant? My whole life I’ve done what I’m not supposed to. I’ve never been someone to fit into the hole the world wants me to go into. I mean if I did I would probably be living in a trailer in Montana somewhere having a baby right now. That’s not me. I do my own thing and I do what makes me happy. I don’t want to be tied down and I don’t want to be told what to do. Someone gets in my face I fight them. Someone tells me what to do I flip them off and I do the opposite. That is what being Defiant is all about and that is me. - HEIDI THOMPSON
My entire career has been defined by being defiant. From the moment I set foot in my wrestling school to when I returned to the US after spending years wrestling in England. Nothing makes me more determined than someone else's doubt. I guess you could say I like making people eat their words. - AIDAN CARLISLE
I'm not into the entertainment aspect. Wrestling is a sport to me. I treat her with respect. - JAMES EDWARDS
Defiant...it's something I've always said I am. Maybe not in that word, but...look; I've regularly gone against the popular grain. I've been the guy who's out there saying things that are counter to the mainstream, and stood by my opinions. That's defiance in a nutshell. Now I get to show it in a ring. - PATRICK CARSON
What makes me Defiant? Well look at me... I am not normal. I am not a typical anything. Not a typical wrestler, not a typical woman for that matter. The universe is naturally chaotic and there was WAY too much order among those that signed before me. I am the spice that DWF needs and I aim to season. - ALICE QUINN
Easy I think someone like me who can be destructive in the ring, can be controversy fits perfectly to be defiant. - CORAL ROSE
I've always been small. Smallest in a family of small females, smallest kid in my class. You name it, I'm the littlest. But inside I'm a lioness, I'm a knapsack of C4. I have always been told I can't do things because of my size, and I have always been that girl that said "watch me figure out how". If that's not Defiant, what is? - NORA HARRIS
I'm defiant to every girl who tries to degrade women with nasty names and comments. I don't quit wrestling because of them I defy their views and show them up as bitter haters while I reap the rewards of hardwork. - TRIXIE
Look up the definition... defiant means someone who boldly resists the status quo, who challenges all the paradigms... who pushes buttons and envelopes alike. You're looking at that person right here. - SUMMER
Fairchild nods as Summer finishes her remark then turns back towards the front as the DWF Logo slides back in front of the screen.
Tomorrow, we'll have Part Two of the Fair Catch with that all important third question. Until then, I'm Bob Fairchild, this has been the Fair Catch. We'll see you next time!
The end shot shows Bob with a smile, looking at the camera then fading to black.
