The Camera opens to show the Royal Farms Arena at full capacity as El Phantasmo and the Chicken Run Blast-o-Rama' plays. Fans hold signs in the crowd while Stephi Zucconi stands on the ring, hyping the crowd. She blows a kiss towards the camera man walking towards the ring. The camera turns to show Bob Fairchild and Kamryn Tennebaum standing at ringside. Kamryn turns and winks at Cassius 'Cash' Pryce as he poses for the camera in the background.
Bob Fairchild: HELLO EVERYBODY AND WELCOME TO TNT!... We are LIVE at the …...
The footage abruptly ends and switches to a two-shot of Bob Fairchild and Steffi Zucconi standing outside of the Royal Farms Arena in Baltimore.
Bob Fairchild: ...and that was the last of the footage we saw out of Baltimore on Thursday night. Hi everybody, Bob Fairchild here with Steffi Zucconi, and due to, the lack of a better term, a complete meltdown inside the production truck outside of the Arena every bit of footage from Thursday night's TNT was lost.
Stephi Zucconi: Bob really isn’t kidding. Rusty and the crew were attempting to save all they could but the truck was a total loss.
Bob Fairchild: We have been scouring the internet and scouring through all of our fans who joined us there in Baltimore to see if we can get any fancam coverage, still photos, any audio or any cell phone video of the night’s work. And unfortunately, we've come up nearly empty. We did manage to grab a few stills from the show so we will now give you an Abridged version of The Happenings of the night.
Steffi Zucconi : That's right Bob a very interesting night here in Baltimore as we were schedule to have a three-way dance, a three-way debut featuring West McFadden, Arthur McKay and K-Remix. But due to travel issues and family commitments down in the Houston area associated with Hurricane Harvey, Arthur McKay was unable to attend but will be with us in Pittsburgh for TNT on the 14th.
Bob Fairchild:: So it was the two man debut between K-Remix and West McFadden and It got off to a hot and heavy start with K-Remix showing off some of the moves learned from his father and McFadden came back work through a flurry of punches and kicks and nearly had the win after hitting a Missile Drop Kick.
Steffi Zucconi: The crowd was extremely into both guys not really picking a side but very impressed by both of their moves their actions and need a little bit of the attitude that K-Remix had out of the gate the finish in the end saw West McFadden missed a splash into the turnbuckle and K-Remix hit the Million Dollar Remix, giving for the tapout win.
Bob Fairchild: It was a good debut for K-Remix and West McFadden had absolutely nothing to be ashamed about. Both of the competitors received a standing ovation on their way out of the Arena after the match.
Steffi Zucconi: Next part of the night saw The Boss, Jana Rikar, coming out to address the fans thanking them for making the DWF a part of their night and part of their world. Just after that, she set up the format for number one contenders tournament heading into the Nightmare Zone, our next pay-per-view coming up in October at the iWireless Arena.
Bob Fairchild: This format will set up not just a one contender, but two.
Nora Harris vs. K-Remix
Trixie vs West McFadden
Jenn Drew vs Max Ironside or Aidan Carlisle
James Raven vs Quinn Rivers
Bob Fairchild: The tournament will end in a original three-way dance elimination match at the Nightmare Zone featuring The Defiant Championship, currently held by Aiden Carlisle, taking on not one but two contenders in the main event.
Steffi Zucconi: Up next, we had our next match between Coral Rose and James Raven in a Number One Contender spot for the Titan Title, with that chance happening in Pittsburgh on the 14th.
Bob Fairchild: As she publicly stated, Coral Rose said that James Raven was going to win and most everybody in the arena was a little on edge on how that exactly was going to happen. The bell rings and Coral Rose dropped as if she's lying down for Raven but it was all a ruse as Raven went for the cover, Coral went for a small package that only got a 2 count. After that Raven attempted to try to control the tempo by keeping Rose on the mat but Rose broke free and begin to unload on him with her arsenal of kicks and the dreaded Kendo stick.
Bob Fairchild: Raven’s back ended up having many bruises as well as a very nasty cut across the side of his neck from what looked to be a side Russian leg sweep with the use of the Kendo stick. But it was all for not after Coral missed the Rosedust, James Raven quickly countered into the Flight of the Raven and the pinfall victory.
Steffi Zucconi: That means James Raven is the number one Contender for the Titan title which will now be defended in Pittsburgh on the 14th. That sent us to a backstage segment with Aidan Carlisle stating she was walking in, and walking out the Defiant Champion.
Bob Fairchild: Coming up next was the Titan Title on the line with the Champion, Jenn Drew taking on the challenger, Cyrus Riddle.
Steffi Zucconi: Cyrus currently running the second one shot match in the DWF after losing you in the gauntlet match in Fayetteville to Crown a Titan Champion But with the Titan title being open to all comers, Jenn Drew had to defend against Cyrus Riddle, whom she didn't face in the gauntlet. This was a matchup between the small stature and speed of Jenn Drew against the power and ferocity of Cyrus Riddle .
Bob Fairchild: Jenn played the Mind Games trying to manipulate Cyrus real from the jump I managed to hit a missile dropkick, moonsault and a corkscrew plancha.
Bob Fairchild: Jenn played the Mind Games trying to manipulate Cyrus real from the jump I managed to hit a missile dropkick, moonsault and a corkscrew plancha.
Bob Fairchild: But Cyrus riddle weathered the storm, took out one big punch and nearly had the win. Jenn went into the bag of tricks one more time, using a steel chair to her benefit to clip the leg of the challenger. Then there was a nearfall at 2 and 9/10 by Jen Drew on Cyrus Riddle after a throat shot with the chair. Jenn Drew argued with senior referee Wonderman Waldo then went to the top to try to end it all but she came up empty as Cyrus moved out of the way of the Curtain Call. This setup Cyrus, who directly went into Darkness Falls and we now have a new Titan title champion in the name of Cyrus Riddle.
Bob Fairchild: Jenn Drew, visibly upset, took it out on Wonderman Waldo but it didn’t change the facts. Cyrus riddle walked out of the Royal Farms arena with the Titan Title on his shoulder and he heads to Pittsburgh to take on James Raven.
Steffi Zucconi: No rest for the wicked as Cyrus Riddle and James Raven go one-on-one and I'm wondering if there might be a fine in the wallet for Jenn Drew after attacking Waldo after the match.
Bob Fairchild: And then, it was for everything. The Defiant Title on the line. The champion, Aidan Carlisle. The challenger Max Ironside. A rematch from a few months back and this one was as good as the last one. The last one ended with Max Ironside using the Crippled Crossface nearly tapping out Aidan Carlisle, but she countered into a roll up to gett the three count just before tapping, holding onto the Defiant Title.
Steffi Zucconi: This match saw everything. Max Ironside was aggressive from the jump, working on the leg, working on the knee, and working on the ankle trying to slow down and limit the offense from Aidan Carlisle. Aidan went away from her normal attacks and trying to keep Max off base. She ended up going into more of a ground and pound MMA type situation harkening back to her her earlier days.
Bob Fairchild: Max was caught off guard by the attacks from Aiden on the ground but did manage to get to near-falls including one that everybody looked to have a three count but Aidan's foot was on the ropes. Just after that Max went back to the Crippled Crossface trying to get the trying to get the win once again but Aiden rolled forward, rolled out of it and got into her own version of the cross face. Max manage decide slide sideways and hook the bottom rope with his foot to break up the count.
Steffi Zucconi: The battle, and it was truly a battle between these two went on for nearly 30 minutes, back and forth back and forth. Suplexes, kicks, ground-and-pound - I think if they could have brought out the kitchen sink, they would have used the kitchen sink. They did manage to get in a few chairs, three tables, one Candlestick, tacks, a chain and a sign from one of the fans, which ended up being a stop sign, that busted open and bruised both Max Ironside and Aidan Carlisle.
Bob Fairchild: After 40 minutes, we finally came to the finish of the match. Aidan Carlisle rolling out of the way of of a second rope Hammer of Thor fist drop, countering into a la Magistral cradle getting a nearfall. The two popped right back up. Max went to the ropes and went for Han-Decapitation, but Aidan Carlisle blocked to the knee smash of the face, countered into the Queen's Cross dropping Max on his back across her knee and securing the victory with the three count.
Steffi Zucconi: Your Winner and still Defiant Champion, Aidan Carlisle.
Bob Fairchild: Aidan has been Champion since Shamrock Showdown night of 2017 and two of her best matches undoubtedly have been against Max Ironside and I honestly don't know if the third time will be the charm for Max or not if and when that time ever comes.
Steffi Zucconi: So it was an exciting night in Baltimore and we are truly sorry that the show was missed out on by the viewing public. Fans at the Royal Farms Arena made for a typical Defiant night.
Bob Fairchild: We’ve been assured by Jana and Rusty that we will have a full production set, as well as a secondary truck off site in Pittsburgh to eliminate this from being a future problem. So from Baltimore, for Steffi Zucconi and everyone here in the DWF, I’m Bob Fairchild, we’ll see you in Pittsburgh for TNT!
