“Yesterday was my birthday and it was really, really nice that people were kind and wished me a Happy one. I even got some presents, and Adam from FFW is sending me shirts and a DVD. That’s pretty cool, don’t you think?” Nora bounced into view as she settled herself on a picnic table in a local park. In the background were families playing frisbee and there was a baseball game in progress further down from where she was, a bit of shadow from the shelter roof cast over her but it didn’t hide her bright smile. There was a grill just off to the side where she had something obviously cooking and she was keeping an eye on it while she spoke. “Life is kind of funny isn’t it? Ups and downs, all that. Right now my career is on a bit of an upswing, I was very proud of the last match that I had with Coral. Every match is a step up, a step forward in my career. All the training in the world - and like I’ve touched on, I’ve had better training than most… well, you need experience to go along with talent and hard work. That’s common sense. You also need to be open to fun, because if you focus down too hard? Well that’s just as bad as not focusing at all. This week I’ll be facing Richard Drake, and at first I was a little excited. He joined up not too long ago after being just about all over social media, I’m sure he followed everyone before he signed up. Reminded me a little of a couple other people I know of, that go to a lot of different places to wrestle just so that they can get that experience, see which is the best fit. There’s nothing wrong with that, at least if it’s not so much that you get sidetracked and forget where you’re supposed to be!” She laughed and shook her head, popping up off the table to check the grill and returning quickly to resettle herself. “Which is kind of what I wonder happened to Richard because he’s barely been around when he was all over the timeline on Twitter before. I mean I hope he didn’t get bored when he saw he was supposed to face me, because we had actually talked about it on Twitter that since he joined Defiant that it would be likely we’d get a match. I was really looking forward to that, so I hope it’s just that he’s been too busy! I understand that, between travel and training I’m barely on myself! Either way, don’t worry Richard! You know though, that I’m going to be working my hardest to beat you, and not in that sly double entendre way you’d think I meant. You know what they say, about it’s not the size of the fighter but the size of the fight they got? Well I may be the Tiny with the Heiny, the Cutie with the Booty, but I promise you that there’s a ton of fight in this little body of mine!” Nora got up again, this time to retrieve a drink from the cooler near the table, and she popped the tab and took a sip before she considered her next words. “I’ve studied up, I’ve watched you wrestle live so I guess that all we’ve got left is to do the thing! Little Rock may not be ready for this amount of fun but they’re going to get it!”
Word Count: Well under limit.
